Three Days in Costa Bahia de Banderas in Riviera Nayarit

We know you’re more than ready to go on vacation and disconnect from the routine of the last few months, which is why we want to share a few options to help you discover Costa Bahía de Banderas in just three days (in other words, a weekend!) Are you ready to roam in paradise? Keep reading!

No matter where you come from, when you arrive in the Riviera Nayarit you can begin your adventure in any order. All we recommend is that you plan out your route for practical purposes.

Nuevo Vallarta

We recommend staying in one of the hotels in Nuevo Vallarta—there are plenty of options for every budget. For example, there’s the Marival Emotions, Grand Velas, Reflect, Villa La Estancia, Occidental, Paradise Village, Hard Rock, among others. You’ll also find an ample and very delicious culinary offer in Nuevo Vallarta, making your first day of relaxation here simply fabulous.

Bucerías

After taking it easy on your first day you’ll be ready to venture out to the most chill and laid-back micro-destinations in the Riviera Nayarit. Start off with breakfast at El Café in Bucerías, followed by a walk along its cobblestone streets and a visit to the local marketplace, where you’ll find fabulous Huichol art souvenirs. The beach at Bucerías is beautiful and you’ll leave with some great pics. Hungry? Then get up close and personal with some of the tastiest seafood you’ll ever eat at Mariscos Villareal. We recommend the shrimp salad or the ceviche with mayonnaise. You’ll find a bunch of different restaurants right on the beach specializing in all kinds of dishes at every price point. Ready? Then let’s head to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

You’ll want to roam the streets in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and take lots of pictures of the murals or Mexico’s most modern marina—you’ll love it! You can also visit the Mercado del Mar, where the fishermen take their catches of the day and you can buy the freshest produce around. Ready for dinner? Let’s go to Tacos on the Street for some local food, or Frascati if you’d rather try some Italian food with the Riviera Nayarit’s gourmet flair.

Punta de Mita

On your third day in the Riviera Nayarit we invite you to get to know Punta de Mita, a quiet micro-destination with gorgeous beaches. You can get up early and go to Playa La Lancha for a beach day watching the local surfers or head over to Playa El Anclote for some yummy local food. Tuna Blanca and La Pescadora are favorites for lunch. Dinnertime means Hector’s Kitchen, and don’t forget to stop by Calaverita de Mita for a colorful souvenir.

There you go: now you only have 19 micro-destinations to discover. Don’t forget to use the #RivieraNayarit hashtag on your social media—we want to see you enjoying paradise!
